Matt's Story
I've always believed the best people decisions balance what's right for the business with what's right for the people who make it successful.
Over the past two decades, I've partnered with organizations of all sizes, helping leaders navigate growth, organizational change, employee relations, and some of the most challenging workplace situations they'll face. My experience includes global HR leadership, compensation strategy, organizational development, manager coaching, workforce planning, compliance, and people strategy across multi-state and international operations.
What I enjoy most is helping leaders simplify complexity. Workplace challenges are rarely black and white, and the best decisions aren't usually found in a handbook. They come from understanding the situation, asking the right questions, and balancing accountability with empathy.
One lesson has stayed with me throughout my career: most difficult employee situations don't need a quick answer. They need thoughtful leadership.
My role isn't to make difficult decisions for my clients. It's to bring the clarity, perspective, and practical guidance they need to make those decisions with confidence. I believe organizations don't need more bureaucracy. They need capable leaders, practical systems, and trusted advisors who help simplify complexity.
That's why I co-founded People & Policy Partners. We built the firm to give growing organizations access to experienced HR leadership before difficult situations become bigger problems. Our goal is simple: help leadership teams make better people decisions.
Outside of work, my favorite role is being a husband to my wife, Katie, and a father to our three amazing kids. Whether I'm listening to an audiobook, exploring new technology, or tackling a process improvement project, I'm usually learning something new. Curiosity has always been one of my greatest strengths, and it's the same curiosity I bring to helping leaders navigate their most complex people challenges.
